YOUR ACCOUNT

A place for
what you take away.

Your account turns a passing discovery into a personal collection. Keep the takas you want to revisit and the thoughts you want to remember.

Your playbook, organized by you.

Save a taka when you want to return to it. Mark it as read when you’ve finished, or tried when you’ve put an idea into practice. My playbook has separate Saved, Read, Tried and Notes views, so you can choose the collection you need without scrolling through everything. You can undo a saved, read or tried mark at any time.

Private notes in your own words.

Below each taka, write down a question, an example from your life or a thought you want to test. Save the note to keep it with that taka. Notes belong to your account and do not appear on the public page. The Notes view brings them together. If a taka is taken out of the public collection for revision, your private note is retained.

A dashboard that stays practical.

Your dashboard brings together your reading activity, selected interests and account settings. Reading and tried totals describe the marks you have made; they are not measures of mastery. You can change your display name, select areas you’re curious about, reset your password, export your playbook or sign out. Selecting an interest records a preference; it does not enroll you in a course or promise a personalized feed.

Create an account when you’re ready.

Use Create your account to enter your details and choose a password. Follow the verification link sent to your email before using your playbook. Already registered? Sign in with that account. If you forget your password, use the reset link on the account page. You can read public takas while signed out, including after dismissing the account invitation.

Your account travels with you.

Sign in to the same account on another device to access your saved takas and notes. Installing Vakataka on your home screen gives you a convenient way to open the site; it does not create a second account. Reading, account changes and saving notes require a connection.

Keep a copy of your work.

The Export playbook control in Account settings downloads your playbook data. Treat that file as private if it contains personal notes. For the information the site stores, guest cookies and account export or erasure requests, read Privacy & your notes.

Start with an idea worth keeping.

There’s no need to fill a collection for its own sake. Save what you find useful, add your own perspective, and let your playbook grow at your pace.
